July 9, Part 1: Lab time to work on projects and Exporting for Sharing
First order of business: what pizza toppings do you like?
I. Lab Time (I'll walk around and help people with any issues)
II.
Export or Share for use in iTunes
In GarageBand, go to the "Share" Menu
GarageBand Export to iTunes
Enter whatever info and settings you want. Remember you have to use AAC for Enhanced Podcasts.
Podcast or Song Info and Settings
In iMovie, go the "Share" menu
iMovie export to iTunes
Select a size. Remember larger files will take up more hard drive space, and take longer for users to download.
Select a size for exported movie
b. Finding the file for sharing or uploading online
Question: How do I find my exported file so I can share it with someone else or upload it to a site?
Your exported files from GarageBand to iTunes can be found by going to teacher-->Music-->iTunes-->iTunes Music
For GarageBand, your exported podcasts or songs should be in a folder with your name
For iMovie, your exported movies should be in the "Movies" folder.
III. Demo of how you can upload your podcast online
One site that was recommended to me is
http://www.podbean.com/
There may be others that are more user-friendly and provide more storage
